Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account data — your email address and login details when you sign up.
• CV content — the information you enter to build your CV, such as your name, contact details, work history, education, skills and any photo you upload.
• Payment data — when you pay, Stripe processes your card details. We receive a confirmation and a payment reference, but never your full card number.
• Technical data — basic information your browser sends, and cookies needed to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy.

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To build, save and generate your CV as a PDF.
• To provide AI suggestions when you request them (see below).
• To take payment and provide support.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

When you use an AI feature — such as rewriting a summary or matching your CV to a job ad — the relevant text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the response. It is processed to produce your suggestion and is not used by us to train models. If you would rather not use AI, simply do not use those features; the rest of the builder works without them.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make AdvanceCV work, and only as needed:

• Supabase — hosting your account and saved CVs.
• Stripe — processing payments.
• Anthropic — generating AI suggestions you request.
• Resend — sending service emails such as sign-up confirmations.

We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We keep your account and CV data for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep certain records (for example, payment records) to meet legal obligations.

• You can view and edit your CV content at any time in your dashboard.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it.
• You can close your account whenever you like.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit who can access it.

AdvanceCV is intended for adults in the job market and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above shows when. Significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
